[This offer from August 2021 is no longer available. This listing is now part of my portfolio.]
You’ve been at your computer for hours. You’re tired, bored, and you can’t stop procrastinating. You’re lonely, too. You just want some company, to feel you’re not alone.
I’ve got you.
Throughout August (except for while I’m traveling, the week of August 17), I’ll be hosting Pretentious Artist Coworking. It’s your opportunity to get some work done, or just hang out, at Jackie’s Place, a virtual dive bar run by Jackie, the surliest bartender in Paris. Jackie (played by me) will ignore your attempts to order drinks because he’s working on his roman-a-clef, or grumpily chatting up a potential patron, or avoiding the gaze of his latest conquest. You’ll sit up at the bar, or in a cozy booth, writing your own novel/finishing that report/emailing your pitch to Oprah/oozing whiskey fumes/scribbling mad love poetry.
Pretentious Artist Coworking is free, but I dare you to subscribe to the paid tier of my newsletter (only $5 a month!) to support me and the coworking space!
Dates and times:
Mondays (August 2, 9, 23, 30) at 7-8pm eastern
Wednesdays (August 4, 11, 25) at 4-5pm eastern
Thursdays (August 5, 12, 26) at noon-1pm eastern
It’s a drop-in session, no need to arrive on time, and no need to sign up unless you want a reminder email! When the time comes, just join Jackie’s Place at this link.
